Singapore: Fire breaks out in Bedok apartment, cause unknown

Singapore firefighters extinguished the fire by using water jet and as per SCDF no one got injured because of this incident

A fire accident took place in the Aquarius by the Park condominium in Bedok. Photos and videos of the incident, which took place in the early hours of Saturday, were shared on social media which showed flames emerging from the windows of an apartment.

Almost seven police cars and four fire engines were seen at the spot after the blaze broke out around 12.40 am in a 14th-floor apartment. Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that the fire incident involved the contents of a bedroom.

The firefighters from SCDF used one water jet to extinguish the fire. Later, SCDF mentioned that as of now no injuries were reported. However, the cause of the fire is yet to reveal. Officials are currently investigating the incident.

Recent fire incidents

Two people trapped inside a burning Bukit Batok Housing Board (HDB) flat and then were rescued by the firefighters from Singapore Civil Defence Force after the officials broke into the flat.

In another case, on June 8 in the 6th-floor unit at Block 301, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 fire broke out. The flat was burned in the fire involving a personal mobility device battery in its bedroom.

An 83-year-old wheelchair-bound woman, who was living in a Bukit Panjang flat had died of smoke and fume inhalation which was caused by a fire incident that took place on May 30.
