Thief arrested after getting stuck in traffic A thief failed to escape after getting stuck in traffic in Birmingham. Martin Tolan was pursued by police after stealing a Mini convertible when he crashed into cars waiting at red lights. Officers were quick to break the car windows and arrest Tolan. He was jailed for almost 10 years for multiple burglaries, dangerous driving and theft.

Australian polar bear cub thrilled to explore new enclosure A three-month-old polar bear cub got to explore her new enclosure at Sea World Australia. The Cub Kindy enclosure was built to expose the baby bear to new experiences. This will help her develop her life-skills. Polar bear mum Liya stayed close by to watch over the cub. Sea World is currently running a naming competition for the fluffy white baby.

Celtic and Sunderland fans clash with police ahead of friendly Sunderland supporters clashed with police ahead of a match against Celtic. Police officers attempted to separate fans of both teams but were attacked and had glass thrown at them. One man was injured in the clashes. Celtic fans also clashed with far-right activist Tommy Robinson in Sunderland.

Five properties were searched after a credible tip-off warned of the Islamic-inspired terror plot. Counter-terrorism operations are still ongoing with extra security measures put in place. Australian airlines warned passengers to expect delays due to the heightened security situation. The country is worried about the threat of home-grown militants returning from fighting in the Middle East.

Tomorrowland fire: 22,000 people evacuated from Spanish festival after blaze More than 22,000 people have been evacuated from a Spanish festival after a fire. Tomorrowland Unite Spain festival in Barcelona was stopped at 10.15pm local time due to a massive blaze. Witnesses believe a section of the stage may have been ignited by pyrotechnics. The organisers blamed a technical malfunction for the incident. Firefighters contained the fire in half an hour but warned the stage might collapse.

US border agents caught encouraging teenager to drink liquid meth before his death CCTV footage shows US border officers encouraging a teenager to drink liquid meth. Cruz Velazquez died two hours after being interrogated to the two officers at a border crossing from Mexico. The footage shows the officers making drinking gestures to Velazquez. The officers should have carried out instant substance tests if they suspected the teen to carry illegal substances. His family has launched a lawsuit against the two officers.

Elon Musk releases affordable Tesla Model 3 electric car Tesla has delivered the new Model 3 to its first 30 customers. The $35,000 car attempts to bring Tesla electric cars to the mainstream market. It costs only about half of Teslas other high-end luxury cars. The affordable car has a range of up to 310 miles. Tesla CEO Elon Musk said around 500,000 people have already reserved a Model 3.

Clumsy cows rescued after falling into canal A dramatic rescue mission came to a happy end after Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service lifted two cows out of a canal. The cows got stuck in the canal and were getting distressed. They were lifted to safety with a crane and winch system. The rescue workers later posted a video of one of the freed cows happily grazing away.

Thieves fail spectacularly after struggling to break jewellery cases Jewellery thieves in Malaysia failed in the most embarrassing way. After storming a jewellery store, CCTV footage shows the robbers trying to break the display cases. However, the glass cases seem to be more solid than expected and even a hammer doesnt break the glass. The thieves had to leave the store empty-handed and humiliated. Even though nothing was stolen, the store will have to be closed for two weeks to repair the cases.

One of the woman attempted to block the exit while the other ran after him wielding a baseball bat. Dorsett was later jailed for 12 years for 15 robberies and one count of assault. DNA from a can led to his arrest, after he was spotted drinking from it on CCTV.

Polar Bears Get Surprise Present To Keep Cool These polar bears were in for a special surprise. To keep paws cool and bears happy Ranua Zoo in Finland got a special delivery of snow. Several trucks brought the snow into the area, turning summer into winter. The bears were clearly thrilled by the chilly surprise.

Heroic firefighter rescues dog from drowning A firefighter bravely rescued a dog in danger of drowning. Miami Beach Fire Department received a call about a dog struggling in the water. Firefighter Emilio Sanchez jumped in without hesitation and pulled the dog to safety. The dog received the nickname Champ and is doing well. He was reunited with his owner later in the day.

Are North Korean hackers stealing money from South Korean banks? Are North Korean hackers stealing money from South Korean banks? A South Korean state-backed agency reported that NK hackers are now more interested in cash rather than the secrets of their enemies. The report says that a NK hacking group Andariel tried to hack South Korean ATMs in order to steal bank card information and use malware to crack gambling websites for profits.  The US Senate just passed new sanctions on the regime. But the report warns that NK hackers will continue their efforts.
