Nintendo's smash-hit augmented-reality (AR) game 'Pokemon GO' has received some fresh update from its developer Niantic wherein an influx of Grass-type Pokemon are expected to hit the game servers for the forthcoming event weekend.

Gamers can now hunt down a bunch of Grass-type Pokemon in quick time during the event, while the game enables users to take advantage of its AR camera and share new gameplay screenshots depicting the spawn points for these Pokemon on social media, using the #PokemonGO tag.

Here are the excerpts from the official gameplay description for the new Pokemon GO update:

"Professor Willow's research into Pokémon habitats around the world has uncovered some interesting findings. His initial reports indicate that we'll see an influx of Grass-type Pokémon sometime this weekend. These Pokémon will appear in the wild more frequently starting the afternoon of May 5, but only for a short period of time. We anticipate that Pokémon will return to their normal habitats on May 8, 2017 PDT."

With Pokemon GO losing its popularity and user engagement over time, Niantic seems determined to win back the loyalty of its fans with regular feature updates being added into the game on a periodic basis.

Those who had been struggling to find enough Grass-Type Pokemon can now catch as many Grass-type Pokemon as possible during the event weekend.
