The action flick "The Outlaws" topped the Korean box office for the second straight week.

Starring Ma Dong Seok of the "Train to Busan" fame and Yoon Kye Sang, the movie sold 787,240 tickets and earned US$5.94 million from October 20 to 22, according to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC).

It has earned US$36.28 million with total admissions of 4.96 million since its opening on October 3 and is expected to reach 5 million tickets today.

In the movie, Ma Dong Seok plays the role of police detective Ma Deok So who hunts down Jang Chen, the boss of a Korean-Chinese gang, played by Yoon Kye Sang.

In November, Ma Dong Seok will be seen in another movie titled "The Bros," a comedy flick which will also star Lee Dong Hwi and Lee Ha Nui.

"The Outlaws" outshone the Hollywood disaster movie "Geostorm," which placed second in the weekend box office with 694,913 tickets sold and revenue of $4.64 million to bring its total earnings to $5.27 million since October 19.

Placing third is the Korean drama movie "Man of Will" starring Cho Jin-woong and Song Seung-heon, which opened on October 19. The movie sold 201,279 tickets and raked in $1.42 million over the weekend for a total of 260,189 tickets and $1.8 million in revenue since its opening.

The Lee Byung-hun starrer "The Fortress" came to fourth place from second place in the previous week. It earned $459,266 and sold 64,478 tickets for the weekend to bring its total revenue to $27.13 million and total admission to 3.77 million since October 3.

Movies which placed fifth to tenth over the weekend are "Kingsman: The Golden Circle," "My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday," "No Game No Life Zero," "I Can Speak, "Blade Runner 2049" and "The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature."
