South Korean actress, model and singer Jung Eun-ran, popularly known by her stage name Min Hyo-rin, is joining the cast of new web drama tentatively titled 'Individualist Ms. Ji Young,' from KBS network. The drama will be only two episodes long.

As reported by Soompi, a KBS network source revealed on March 8, "Min Hyo Rin has confirmed her casting in the KBS web drama 'Individualist Ms. Ji Young' (working title)." The source also revealed that SBS has no plans to have a TV broadcast for the said drama.

This isn't Min Hye-ryo's first web series. She was cast as the lead actress in a 2010 web series that had been adapted from British author Alain de Botton's novel 'Romantic Movement.' In the following year, she appeared alongside Sung Yu-ri and Kim Min-joon in the TV series 'Romance Town' from KBS. She is also a regular cast member of KBS's reality program 'Sister's Slam Dunk' from 2016.

Min Hyo-rin made her acting debut in the year 2009 with the TV series 'Triple' from MBC network. Here she starred alongside 'Descendants of the Sun' star Song Joong-ki and Lee Jung-jae, who played the lead in hit movie 'Operation Chromite' opposite Liam Neeson.

The actress and singer also decided to part ways with JYP Entertainment, which had been her agency from 2014. Hyo-rin decided not to renew her exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment, which ends this March. As per a report by Allkpop, the actress gave much thought and time to consider this matter and after talking with the agency she decided not to renew her contract with the label. Both have reportedly parted on good terms.

Allkpop also writes that there is no information on which label Hyo-rin will join next. The website speculated that her next label might be YG Entertainment because of her boyfriend, South Korean singer and songwriter Taeyang. The couple made their relationship public in 2015 and Big Bang's G-Dragon said that he was the one who helped them become close.

Speaking in an episode of the MBC talk show 'Radio Star,' as noted by Allkpop, G-Dragon said, "I think I was a bridge for them. I recommended Min Hyo Rin -- who was a friend of a friend -- for Taeyang's music video because I thought she would be suitable for the role. Apparently, Taeyang also had her in mind. I visited the MV making site and Taeyang was smiling ear to ear. It's a sad song, but when he was hugging her, he looked so happy."
