Kim Ji Won says she'd support the dreams of her boyfriend if he was like Go Dong Man

Kim Ji-won also talked about her eagerness to meet the 'Fight My Way' cast once she signed on

Actress Kim Ji-won, who recently finished the highly successful drama 'Fight My Way' for KBS2, has revealed her thoughts on the possibility of having a boyfriend like Park Seo-joon's character Go Dong-man.

As noted by website Soompi, Kim Ji-won, in a recent interview shared her thoughts on the drama following its end on July 11. When the actress was asked if she ever thought of having a mixed martial artist as a boyfriend, she responded, "That's a big dilemma. I actually discussed this with the other cast members, and I think everyone has different opinions on this. Personally, I think I would support my significant other's dream if that were the case, because in the drama, Go Dong Man goes after his dream."

As revealed earlier by writer Im Sang-choon, 'Fight My Way' was inspired by the struggles of Japanese mixed martial artist Yoshihiro Akiyama, also known as Choo Sung-hoon and his wife, Japanese model Shiho Yano. Shino Yano is a successful model who also supported her husband's passion just like Kim Ji-won's Choi Ae-ra fif in the drama.

On the ending of the drama, she said, "Due to the show being only 16 episodes long, we weren't able to show everything we wanted. But considering how short the drama was, I am happy with the ending. I think if the breakup between my character and Park Seo Joon's character lasted any longer, it would have been sad. I am glad we got back together so quickly as the series ended."

Kim Ji-won also talked about her eagerness to meet the 'Fight My Way' cast once she signed on, saying, "I wanted to meet with the other three cast members quickly. I thought it would be fun to work with them, and now that the show is over, I still want to meet up with them. Even when we were filming into the night, no one complained, and even at the break of dawn, we always shared good conversations."

Soompi also notes that on July 27, Kim Ji-won said how 'Descendants of the Sun' changed her life and gave her more exposure, which helped her in bagging other roles, like the one in 'Fight My Way.' "Through 'Descendants of the Sun,' a lot of people found out about the actress named Kim Ji Won. It's going to be a project that I'm always going to be thankful for." She added, "I think most people saw me as much more approachable after that drama. I am here today thanks to 'Descendants of the Sun," she said.

However, she added that acting in 'Fight My Way' was like starting over again because she was the lead this time, not just a supporting character. She said she was very grateful for the opportunity, adding, "'Fight My Way' was not only fun, but it was also a work that I felt was healing. I could really relate to the message of the drama saying that you should go the way you want even if you're not the best. I want to become an actress who tries her best at every moment."

Kim Ji-won will next be seen in the 2018 crime and comedy genre movie 'Detective K: 3,' directed by Kim Suk-yoon.
