iH8sn0w, the iOS hacker and jailbreak developer of Sn0wbreeze and P0sixspwn fame, has just released an open-source version of his universal 32-bit iBoot patcher for iPhone OS 2.0 through iOS 10. It must be noted that the tool does not contain any exploit or hack to jailbreak 32-bit devices, despite featuring a patch for the iBoot kernel.

The patch for iBoot will work only if Command Line Interface (CLI) tool kloader is used on the 32-bit device. There are no jailbreaks available for 32-bit devices except for iOS 9.0 to iOS 9.1 firmware that are still jailbreakable using Pangu's tool.

Jailbreaks for newer firmware including iOS 9.3.3 and iOS 10 are currently limited to 64-bit devices while several jailbreak contributors such as Pangu have already confirmed that they will not be releasing any hack tools for 32-bit devices.

Apple has adopted the 64-bit architecture ever since the advent of iPhone 5s and hence the market demand for 32-bit iOS devices like the iPhone 5 and 5c has declined over a period of time. Besides, jailbreak developers will have to recode the hack tool in order to cater to the unlocking needs of 32-bit devices and hence veteran jailbreak developers have withdrawn support for these devices.
