Florida congressional candidate says she was abducted by lanky, blonde aliens

The politician unveiled the information of her being abducted by aliens during a Spanish language interview

Do extraterrestrial life forms exist? If yes, are they interested in Earthly politics?

In a bizarre development, a congressional candidate in Florida has said that she had had an out-of-the-world experience in her childhood...quite literally. Bettina Rodriguez Aguilera, who is one of three Republicans and eight Democrats running in Florida's 27th congressional district, has said that at the age of seven she was actually abducted by some aliens.

"I went in. There were some round seats that were there, and some quartz rocks that controlled the ship, not like airplanes," said the politician, in a 2009 Spanish language interview, which just surfaced on YouTube this week.

"I don't exactly know what happened," she told The Associated Press. "I believe it is real. But I was 7 years old. It was an experience I had a thousand years ago."

Aguilera further went on to say that she was not only abducted on a spaceship but she also met three beings aboard the ship, two of whom were women and one man. Aguilera went on to describe that all the "creatures" in that spaceship were blond and tall. The aliens had outstretched arms, like the Christ the Redeemer statue that overlooks Rio. As per Aguilera, those beings have been in contact with her ever since, telepathically of course.

When the Miami Herald asked for a statement, the candidate, Aguilera replied saying that several former presidents have claimed to see UFOs and that she joins "the majority of Americans who believe that there must be intelligent life in the billions of planets and galaxies in the universe."

As a matter of fact, a 2012 poll by National Geographic and Kelton Research revealed that 36% of Americans believe UFOs exist, while 11% say they've seen a one.

Aguilera's claims, however, seems a little bit farfetched that just saying that you once saw something glowing in the sky, which looked like an alien spaceship.

Some of the information that Rodriguez Aguilera said, in the interview, to have gathered from those extraterrestrial beings are that the world's "energy center" is in Africa, "God is a universal energy," and so on.
