Charlie Kirk: Teachers, Firefighters, Officials Celebrate Conservative Influencer's Assassination

Immediately after news about the assassination of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk broke out, several school teachers, firefighters, officials, and media personalities celebrated his death with posts online. Social media posts began getting flooded with hate comments about the Turning Point USA founder.

A teacher from North Carolina allegedly called Kirk "a garbage human being" in her Facebook post about the conservative activist's death. Kristen Eve, a teacher at the Department of Defense Education Activity at Fort Bragg, NC, said she won't mourn him for a second before threatening about how things would turn messy, ugly, and violent.

Meanwhile, Wynne Boliek, a teacher at Southside High School in Greenville, celebrated the assassination of Kirk by stating that "America became greater today" in her Facebook post. Another social media post against the conservative influencer came from Cornelius City Councilor John Colgan, who is also a science teacher at Neil Armstrong Middle School in Forest Grove.

"Hearing that Charlie Kirk got shot and died really brightened up my day. Nobody deserves it, but some are asking for it," Colgan wrote on his social media post.

Officials Issue Warning

Several people in the US, including school teachers, firefighters, officials, and media personalities, are under investigation for commenting on the assassination of Charlie Kirk. At least one teacher from South Carolina was fired for posting about Kirk. A public relations employee for the Carolina Panthers was terminated for commenting against the influencer on social media.

"Why are y'all sad? Your man said it was worth it," with an image of the Wu-Tang hit "Protect Ya Neck," the person on his personal Instagram account.

Matthew Dowd, a media personality and MSNBC contributor, was fired by the network for his comments on-air while covering breaking news.

State officials in Florida have issued warnings against people commenting on Kirk. According to the authorities, they are keeping a close eye on how teachers in Florida react to the death of Kirk. Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas released a memo on Thursday (September 11) informing school leaders that teachers could face state discipline based on their response to Kirk's assassination.

"Teachers are held to a higher standard as public servants and must ensure their conduct does not undermine the trust of the students and families they serve. We will hold teachers who choose to make disgusting comments about the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk accountable," Kamoutsas wrote on social media.

Kirk was shot dead on Wednesday (September 10) while addressing the attendees of the TPUSA event on the campus of Utah Valley University. The event was held as part of his American Comeback Tour at his signature Prove Me Wrong table.
