Bollywood: Bipasha Basu ties the knot with Karan Singh Grover

Bipasha Basu got married to TV actor, Karan Singh Grover at a suburban hotel in Mumbai.

Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu has finally tied the knot with Karan Singh Grover in a private ceremony, at a suburban hotel in Mumbai. The marriage was a pure blend of Punjabi and Bengali rituals.

The 34-year-old actor who co-starred with Bipasha in the movie, Alone arrived at the venue on a segway wearing a white sherwani while the bride looked extremely ravishing in her all red bridal attire, designed by her friend Rocky S. She completed the look with the traditional Bengali white tiara and red-white chandan dots adorning her forehead.

A friend of the couple told the Times of India: "It was a fairy tale wedding, exactly the way Bips wanted. Ever since she was a little girl, she had dreamt of a traditional Bengali ceremony. Though Karan is a Punjabi, he was really excited about dressing up as the quintessential Bengali groom."

Families from both sides were present at the wedding, and were thrilled to witness the cross-cultured wedding. Separate haldi ceremonies were organised at the venue in the morning, and the wedding rituals began in the evening.

The couple were visited by a number of A-list celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aiswarya Rai Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Tabu, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D'Souza, R Madhavan and many more. Bipasha's Raaz co-star and former beau Dino Morea was also present at the wedding ceremony. Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee, who worked with Bipasha in Shob Charitra Kalponik also visited her at the wedding.

Bipasha's mother Mamta Basu told the Times of India: "We have waited so long to see her get married and are happy she has found the man of her dreams. Our blessings are always with her and our happiness lies in hers. We wish her the best for this new beginning."

The entrance of the venue was decorated with flowers, and their pre-wedding photo shoot pictures were used as wallpapers to decorate the entire venue. After the completion of the wedding rituals, the bride and groom met the journalists and photographers.

This is Bipasha's first marriage, while Karan was previously married to Jennifer Winget and Shraddha Nigam.
