The 53rd Baeksang Art Awards or Paeksang Arts Awards have already announced the nominees for the Television categories which is scheduled to air on May 3, 2017. For those who aren't aware, this event honours the outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry of South Korea. In fact, Baeksang Arts Awards is called the "South Korean Golden Globe Award".

According to Soompi, the nominees for "Best Drama" category include KBS 2TV's Historical romantic-comedy drama, "Moonlight Drawn by Clouds," MBC's suspense drama, "W," tvN's fantasy drama, "Goblin," SBS's medical drama, "Romantic Doctor Kim," and tvN's "Dear My Friends".

In the "Best Entertainment Program" category, SBS's "My Ugly Duckling, Mnet's "Show Me The Money," and JTBC's "Ask Us Anything" have been nominated.

Whereas, the nominees for the "Best Actor" include Gong Yoo for "Goblin", Park Bo Gum for "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds", Namgoong Min for "Chief Kim", Jo Jung Suk for "Jealousy Incarnate" and Han Suk Kyu for "Romantic Doctor Kim".

In the "Best Actress" category there is Kim Go Eun for "Goblin", Park Bo Young for "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon", Park Shin Hye for "Doctors", Kim Ha Neul for "On the Way to the Airport", and Seo Hyun Jin for "Another Oh Hae Young".

Apart from these, there is also "Best New Actor" and "Best New Actress" categories. The nominees for the "Best New Actor" category include Gong Myung for "Drinking Solo", Ji Soo for "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon", Kim Min Suk for "Doctors", and Jinyoung for "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds"

For the "Best New Actress" category, the nominees are Kang Han Na for "Scarlet Heart: Goryeo", Nana for "The Good Wife", Gong Seung Yeon for "Master: God of Noodles", Minah for "Dear Fairy Lady Kong Shim", and Lee Se Young for "Laurel Tree Tailors".
