Android 8.0 Oreo ROM for Xiaomi Mi Max now available to download [LINK HERE]

Get the first-ever Android 8.0 Oreo ROM ported for Xiaomi Mi Max.

The much-coveted Android 8.0 Oreo has been ported by an XDA developer for the Xiaomi Mi Max phone for the first time. Released on 31 August by developer yshalsager, the ROM has been proven functional in Hydrogen OS.

The developer has noted that it can also be ported on Xiaomi Mi Max units running on Helium, but it can be unstable sometimes. The ROM works with a couple of modifications that you will surely enjoy.

How to install Android 8.0 Oreo on Xiaomi Mi Max

Here is a detailed guide on how to install the Android 8.0 Oreo on Xiami Mi Max:

Step 1: Download the Android 8.0 ROM zip file. Move the downloaded file to your phone's internal memory.

Step 2: Boot your phone into recovery mode.

Step 3: Back up your current ROM in case you will not like the new ROM so you can recover the old one.

Step 4: Go to TWRP > Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Select System, Data, Cache and Dalvik. Swipe to wipe.

Step 5: Go to TWRP's main menu. Select Install and locate the OREO ROM zip file. Flash it on your phone.

Step 6: Once done, repeat Step 4. Then, reboot the phone.
