Aamir Khan to promote latest film 'Secret Superstar' in Singapore too this time

Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan is flying down to Marina Bay Sands at MasterCard theatre in Singapore to promote his film 'Secret Superstar'.

Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan is flying down to Marina Bay Sands at MasterCard theatre in Singapore, to promote his latest flick "Secret Super Star", on October 2 at 8 pm. The tickets for the event will be given on "first come first served" basis starting from September 28 at the Mastercard Theatre.

Aamir Khan will be accompanied by Advait Chandan, writer-director of the movie, which is scheduled for release worldwide on October 19. Aamir Khan and Advait Chandan are set to launch their overseas promotion from Singapore with an event for fans and Bollywood lovers in the city.

'Secret Superstar' also features Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' co-star Zarina Wasim who plays the character of a young girl from renowned conservative family in the new film.

The plot of the movie revolves around a young girl Insyia, who is born and brought up by a conservative family. She dreams to become a renowned singer but faces stiff opposition from her father. She soon started making her own music videos and uploading them ananymously on Youtube. Rest of the plot is not revealed so far.

The movie is produced by Amir Khan and Kiran Rao under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, along with Zee Studios and Akash Chawla.

Aamir Khan, also called the "Perfectionist". is best known for his hit movies like 'Lagaan' and '3 Idiots'. His recent movie 'Dangal', released in 2016, about a true story of wrestler coach Mahavir Sing Phogat and his daughters, went on to become the second biggest hit after 'Bahubali 2'.

Aamir Khan has traveled worldwide earlier for the promotion of his movies and his visit to Singapore this time may bring him access to the Southeast Asian community that has huge Chinese speaking population followed by Indian Tamils.

The film 'Secret Superstar' is similar to his last movie 'Dangal' as it "speaks about the empowerment of the girl child -- a topic that's close to our hearts," said Aamir Khan in a video chat with Singapore fans.

Currently, the superstar is busy with his next film 'Thugs of Hindostan' starring Amitabh Bachan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.
