Overview

West Ham United settled for a 1-1 draw against Manchester United in the last league tie at Old Trafford. The Hammers faced the Red Devils at the same venue in the quarter-final of the EFL Cup clash.

However, this time around, the results were different from Slaven Bilic's side. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Anthony Martial both scored a brace as it was sufficient for United to seal a 4-1 win over West Ham to progress further in the competition.

Bilic would have been disappointed after losing his star striker Sakho due to an injury. However, he will be hoping his side can bounce back from the defeat to United when they take on the Gunners this Saturday.

Arsenal were also knocked out of the EFL Cup following their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Southampton in the quarter-final clash at home. Arsene Wenger was disappointed in the manner in which his side were eliminated from the cup competition.

The Emirates club have managed only one win in all competitions this month, a record Wenger and his men will be looking to improve when they face West Ham this weekend in the Premier Legaue.
