Rotta had faced backlash after doing Lolita themed photoshoots with Sulli. Now, the photographer has claimed that it was the Real actress' idea for the concept.

In the pictures that were released online, it showed Sulli in minimal clothing, and with a seductive expression on her face. During an appearance on Hot Cider, he said: "Sulli contacted me first. It was a personal production with Sulli without any financial benefits. I didn't think it would lead to a controversy."

"I put my contact information on social media. At first, I thought it was a joke when Sulli contacted me. She told me she wanted to work on a photoshoot with me," he added.

"We had a concept meeting and she said she likes the teenage girl concept and wanted to try it. She also did the styling herself. We both were so satisfied with the results that I even wanted to publish a photo book," Rotta shared.

In 2016, Sulli had sparked controversy after Lolita-themed photo with Goo Hara for Johnson & Johnson. The image had received backlash and was tagged as inappropriate as the product is for babies.

Following the backlash, she deleted the image. She wrote: "Let's stop misunderstanding. Good night."

Johnson & Johnson also released a statement following the controversy. The post read: "Thank you very much for reaching out to us with your concerns.
