Robert Pattinson, face of Dior, steps into fashion world as designer

The Twilight star says he has been working on the launch of his fashion design career for the last two years.

Robert Pattinson, the handsome, blue-eyed vampire, is out with his own collection of designer wear.

Pattinson, who has been the face of luxury brand Dior for the past three years, has now got into the world of bespoke fashion with his own line of clothing.

In a recent interview with Numero, the Twilight star spilled the beans on his upcoming venture as a designer. He told the French Magazine that he has been working on the project for the past two years, and his collection showcases a variety of attire for men and women.

Speaking like a pro fresh out offashion school, the 29 year old shared: " My style is influenced by the cities I go to, sourcing fabrics and local skills. In Los Angeles it's really easy to work with denim and do work wear inspired clothes. In England I look more towards wool and knitwear. What I do is pretty multifaceted, clothes for men and for women, things that I make with friends"

He added that he has been visiting producers and craftsmen, and has already made quite a few pieces for the collection. Not revealing much about his designer instincts, Pattinson signed off from the topic saying: "I'm not going into too much detail, I don't want to jinx anything".

Currently, the actor is shooting for an American crime drama film by Safdie Brothers.

One of the future projects the Prople's choice winner is all excited about is the upcoming Sci-Fi movie with French director Claire Denis. According to Pattinson, the movie is going to be scientifically crazy, with hi-tech space ships and black holes designed by Danish artist Olafur Eliasson. Shooting for the movie will start in May.
