Pokemon GO: How to bypass jailbreak detection in iOS with new update

Here is a simple trick to bypass jailbreak detection in iOS, after installing new Pokemon GO update.

The new Pokemon GO update is designed to block jailbroken devices from launching the game in a move to discourage use of several third-party apps and jailbreak tweaks that are made for tracking Pokemon and cheating.

On the contrary, it must be noted that not all jailbreakers employ cheating methods while playing Pokemon GO and hence all such users will be eager to unblock or bypass the jailbreak check in the new Pokemon GO update.

When you try running Pokemon GO on jailbroken device, the app will reportedly crash if it detects the hack installed. However, you can bypass the jailbreak-detection mechanism by installing a simple patch called 'xCon for PokemonGo'.

The patch can be downloaded by adding a new third-party repository to Cydia via Sources tab. Here is how you do it:

1) Open Cydia on your jailbroken device and select the Sources tab.

2) Tap on the Edit button.

3) Hit the Add button.

4) Enter the following in the Cydia URL text field:

http://beta.unlimapps.com/

5) Hit the Add Source button.

6) Once the source is added into Cydia, tap on the Return to Cydia button.

Once the repository is loaded into Cydia on your device, just search for xCon for PokemonGo and install it.

That's it. You can now launch the latest version of Pokemon GO on your jailbroken device without crashing the game.

Note: Alternative ways of bypassing the jailbreak check in Pokemon GO such as the Masterball hack will no longer work as Niantic has revamped the jailbreak detection method in its new update.
