Actor Park Hae Jin is ready to take over his character again in the movie edition of 'Cheese in The Trap'. The 33-year-old has been confirmed to play the male protagonist, Yoo Jung, which the actor had previously portrayed in the drama version of the webtoon on tvN network.

Confirming the news, film and drama production company Mountain Movement Story told Soompi: "Park Hae Jin, who played the role of Yoo Jung in the drama version of 'Cheese in the Trap," has after deep contemplation decided to take the male lead role."

The production house also revealed that the original writer of the webtoon will also be a prominent part of the movie. "Mountain Movement Story has entered into a contract with Soon Ki, the creator of the original webtoon 'Cheese in the Trap."

Adding on, the movie adaptation of 'Cheese in The Trap', which is scheduled to hit big screen next year, will be co-financed by Korean and Chinese production houses. The Korean production company Mountain Movement and Beijing Liuhe Sinuo will invest in the production, while the China Film Group Corp and Xingmei will take over the distribution network, Yonhap stated.

The movie adaptation of 'Cheese in The Trap' will be directed by Lee Dong Ho, who has been an integral part of hits like 'Inside Men' and 'Architectecture 101' previously. The movie is set to go on floor early next year with the tentative release in summer 2017.
