Oh My Girl's JinE is undergoing treatment from anorexia. WM Entertainment had revealed that the 21-year-old singer, whose real name is Shin Hye-jin, is battling from an eating disorder.

A source from the agency told Soompi: "JinE is currently resting and receiving treatment in Pohang where her parents reside. JinE is recovering her health with her parents taking care of her in her hometown. She is receiving outpatient treatment and is getting better. The agency is continually checking in on her condition."

The insider added: "The agency is doing their best since her health is most important. [She] will be focusing on recovering."

"JinE's weight recently entered the lower 40kg [40kg is approximately 88 pounds) range. Previously, she was having an extremely hard time weighing less than 40kg. We hope that she will be able to return [after recovering]" the source continued.

In 2015, JinE had opened up about her struggle with anorexia. In an interview with TVReport, she said: "Dieting was the hardest. I'm usually the type that gains weight easily. During our last promotions, I saw a photo of myself and it provoked me."

She added: "I wanted to show a pretty side of myself during our 'Closer' promotions. That's why I recklessly starved myself, and chose protein-centered meals. I of course worked out too. I lost about 8-9 kg (17-20 pounds). But as I ate, and then didn't eat, I developed esophagitis."
