Overview

Novak Djokovic will be disappointed after he lost his World No 1 spot to Andy Murray following his exit from Paris Masters earlier this month. The Scot tennis star's success in the French capital was sufficient for him to eclipse the Serbian.

The former World No 1 lost to Marin Cilic in the quarter-final of the Paris Masters, which led to his exit. He will be looking to bounce back at the end of the season tournament at the O2 Arena in London.

In the previous round, Djokovic registered a hard-fought victory over Milos Raonic. The match was a close one as both sets were decided on tie breakers, with the former winning both the sets to seal the match. The final scoreline was 7-6, 7-6.

Djokovic's win over Raonic was his second win of the ATP World Tour Finals, following his victory over Dominic Thiem. He lost the first set and came from behind to beat the Austrian in his first match.

Monfils, on the other hand, has lost both the match, which was played against Raonic and Thiem. He has quit the ATP World Tour Finals and will be replaced by David Goffin, who will face Djokovic.
