The mega fair of mobile technologies is just around the corner and the whole world is anticipating a plethora of products to make their debut this year. Yes, we are talking about the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017, which is all set to begin from February 28.

The tech giants of the mobile industry from around the world will join the party to showcase their latest wares across popular product categories.

While Samsung's most wanted and highly-anticipated flagship smartphone's absence from this mega fair may signal some negative vibes for the coming days, there is certainly no shortage of new products and big announcements.

So, let's just dig through them a bit...

LG at MWC 2017

LG G6

Let's just start with LG's G6 which has been in the spotlight for quite some time as several pictures and specs of this phone have leaked online. So, LG has nothing much to offer apart from the latest Nougat software and an interesting design in case of G6. By the way, don't count on Qualcomm's latest and smartest creation, the Snapdragon 835, inside a rather wishy-washy LG G6, as Samsung has already called dibs on it. So, basically 2016's 821 is all we could get here.

Samsung at MWC 2017

samsung tab s3

Samsung is yet to reveal its most anticipated smartphone, the Galaxy S8, which the whole world is eagerly waiting for. more so because it will be their first and well, only opportunity to get it right following the Note 7 disaster. However a one minute teaser by the South Korean company still manages to drive the hype just enough so that the enthusiasm about its flagship model keeps growing. And in case if you are interested, the Tab S3 will make its debut in the market, so that the hardcore Samsung fans don't leave the fair empty handed.

Blackberry at MWC 2017

Yes, Blackberry and you thought it is dead? Fortunately or unfortunately under TCL's moniker the yesteryear's glorious and sassy Blackberry is still alive and is trying very hard to make yet another comeback to the Android realm this year at the MWC and of course again with a keyboard sporting device in this era of OLED and edge-to-edge touch-screens. It's not that this Canadian company did anything essentially wrong with their previous product last year, but what they failed to understand is that having just a "good" product in 2016 (obviously in 2017 also) is not enough, especially when you want to sell with a premium price tag. But, let's hope for something really interesting up their sleeve.

Nokia at MWC 2017

nokia

Speaking of old glories, one cannot just dismiss the brand Nokia. Following Microsoft's disastrous acquisition of the original Finnish telecommunication giant, the leftovers of the company was acquired by its partner HMD. HMD launched a midrange Nokia 6 and now seemingly set to make a more significant comeback at the MWC, as per their own promise to live for. They are likely coming up with their latest Android device aka 'Nokia 8' which can be at par with the other big names in the market. For this one, all the secrets are still well kept and set to be revealed only on Sunday.

Huawei at MWC 2017

huawei p10

Huawei is one company which has not followed the likes of Samsung or Apple, despite its notable size. This Chinese company will use the MWC platform in Barcelona to unveil their latest smarphone preemptively dubbed the P10. Also rumor has it that there will be another bigger P10 Plus.

And if we go by the trends of Huawei, they are likely to offer us some more options even in colours. The known specifications and features so far are not very unique or exciting but as they say, "Never say never." We can only pass the judgment after the company officially unveils the phone.

Lenovo/Motorola at the MWC 2017

Lenovo/Motorola at the MWC 2017

Lenovo's subsidiary Motorola will take centrestage at MWC to launch their flagship models Moto G5 and G5 Plus. Plenty of specs and images have already been leaked about both the models already, so very little is left as surprise. Both the models are more or less same in terms of design.

Both the G5s will sport a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front one. While the G5 is supposed to be powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430, the Plus model will have a 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625.

HTC at the MWC 2017

HTC at the MWC 2017

Until now, there has been no official confirmation from this Taiwanese OEM about making an appearance at the MWC and also considering the fact that they have launched their "U" series just about a month ago, there is actually no reason for HTC to be around the fair. But rumors are buzzing around that the company is gearing up to launch a "true" flagship model of last year's 10 and so, we might just catch the first glimpse at the MWC this year. There is no official update yet, but we will keep you posted if there is any.
