Kim Min Suk goes bald on Doctors, SBS cancels August 16 broadcast

Actor Kim Min Suk plays Choi Kang Soo, a first year resident, in SBSs' medical life inspired drama, Doctors.

Shaving his head doesn't seem to be a greater deal for South Korean actor, Kim Min Suk. The 26-year-old actor went under a major hair makeover for his ongoing drama, Doctors, because of his intense liking for the script.

The Descendent of the Sun actor attracted quite a lot of shock waves after he was seen going bald on the Monday's broadcast of Doctors. However, many praised the actor for his dedication and outstanding performance. Defying his decision, Min Suk's label Woollim Entertainment told Allkpop: "Kim Min Suk didn't worry in the least bit about the head shaving scene because he liked the script. He is an MC on 'Inkigayo' so of course, we were worried about his style, but we all decided to go on with it after discussion." Min Suk, along with Gong Seung Yeon and Jungyeon, also hosts SBS's music broadcast, Inkigayo.

Meanwhile, SBS has cancelled the August 16 broadcast of Doctors in lieu of Rio Olympics. A source from broadcasting channel confirmed the news: "Today's episode of 'Doctors' will not air due to the broadcast of the Rio Olympics." However, for the next episode, the insider relayed: "We cannot know yet. During the Olympics, broadcasts are fluid and changed day by day."

The unnamed source also hinted the broadcast of Scarlet Heart: Goryeo, which is set to take over Doctor's time slot by the end of August. The insider stated that they cannot confirm the release of the show.
