Singer Jung Joon Young has sent out messages through video and Instagram to the late actor Kim Joo Hyuk.

Kim Joo Hyuk became a cast member of the Korean TV variety show "2 Days & 1 Night" from 2013 to 2015 and worked with Jung Joon Young. He died in a car crash on October 30 but Jung Joon Young was not able to go to his funeral as he was in Cook Islands located in the South Pacific Ocean to film the TV show "Law of the Jungle."

People behind the show said they tried to contact Jung Joon Young to inform him that the 45-year-old actor died but failed due to cell phone signal problems. They finally contacted him a few days later.

During a special episode of "2 Days & 1 Night" for Kim Joo Hyuk on November 5, Jung Joon Young remembered the actor.

"You were always a cool hyung to us and a more precious hyung than anyone. Last year when I took a break briefly from '1 Night 2 Days' and contacted everyone after coming back into the country, we all met up because you thought I was having such a hard time...because I was having such a difficult time, you came to see me," he said.

He also told him, "I'm just so sorry that I can't be there with you, I just want to be beside you right now."

Jung Joon Young also posted a message on his Instagram account about him, writing, "Our hyung, I greeted him yesterday early in the morning. Please rest in peace Joo Hyuk hyung whom I love."

"I still can't believe it, but I will try to live thinking of you as always smiling and watching over us. Thank you and I love you so much. There is so much that I want to say but I will tell you when I go visit you in person again. I miss you hyung," he added.

Family and friends attended Kim Joo Hyuk's funeral on November 2 at the Asan Medical Center funeral hall.
