Chinese Hunan TV's new variety show "Dear Visitor" is under the scanner for its alleged similarities with JTBC's "Hyori's Homestay." The Chinese show, which is scheduled to be aired on October 7, seems to have many parallels with the hit JTBC show. So far, only the promos and first look have been released.

Speaking to My Daily, a representative from the Hyori's Homestay team said that they are waiting for the official broadcast to take place."Our staff and legal team will keenly follow the show to determine whether there are any plagiarised contents. We have already concluded that we will take strong legal action if it is determined that this is a case of plagiarism. As it is Chuseok, it will take some time for the legal team and staff to release a full official statement."

Meanwhile, broadcasters JTBC has clarified that they haven't sold the right of the show to any media yet. This is not the first time Hunan TV is under the radar for plagiarism controversy. Earlier, they aired a program that plagiarised tvN 'Yoon Restaurant'.

In the show, a celebrity couple is assigned with the task of running a homestay. The final episode of the first season ended with the highest rating on September 24. The show was an instant hit among netizens and gained massive popularity over the time.
