Hwang Jung-eum and Ryu Jun-yeol to star in MBC's Lucky Romance

Lucky Romance is a webtoon adaptation.

Pretty actress Hwang Jung-eum, who got married to golfer Lee Young-don last month, is all set to return to the world of Korean Drama series. The actress has just confirmed that she will be playing a lead in MBC's upcoming rom - com, 'Lucky Romance'.

The 31-year-old, who had quite a few hits, like She was Pretty and Kill Me, Heal Me in her kitty, will soon start the shoot for the new series which is set to hit the small screen in May 2016.

For the male lead, MBC has roped in Ryu Jun-yeol, who rose to fame after his stint in Korean drama, Reply 1988. The actor debuted last year with movie Socialphobia, and managed to garner accolades for his performances as new Rising star.

The MBC drama Lucky Romance, which will follow Goodbye Mr. Black in May , is an adaptation of a webtoon with the same name. As stated by the dramabeans, the rom-com drama revolves around a luck obsessed woman, who, in order to maximize her fortune keeps trying some uniquely weird stuff. Ryu will be playing a penny pinching land lord, who always ends up fighting with Hwang over the rent issues.

Now the catch in the story is, Hwang has been told by a fortune teller that if she wants to see her grow in her life, she has to have a one-night stand with a tiger sign man, and preferably a virgin. And the only person qualifying the bill is the angry landlord, Ryu.

It will be quite interesting to see this fun new fresh series , which promises more hate and less love chemistry between the two leads, and how the luck-centric girl manages to change her fortune with the one-night stand.
