It seems that Gugudan's Kim Sejeong and BTOB's Yook Sungjae are a perfect team. While filming for an upcoming episode of 'Law of the Jungle' in Sumatra, Sejeong rescued Sungjae from drifting with the currents of the Sumatran waters.
As noted by website Soompi, Gugudan's Kim Sejeong, comedian Kim Byung-man and BTOB's Yook Sungjae were required to hunt for food from the sea. Sungjae was a bit hesitant because he had never gone fishing before in the sea.
"I don't even swim that well in normal circumstances. This is my first time even putting on swim fins," the singer and actor said.
However, as part of the show he had to participate like the others and put on his swimming suit, breathing apparatus and swimming fins. Soompi notes that the waters in Sumatra had a strong current and it proved difficult to swim. Sungjae, despite using a buoy lost his sense of direction and began drifting away dangerously far from Kim Sejeong and Kim Byung Man. However, Sejeong pulled Yook Sungjae to safety before something bad could happen to her fellow idol.
"The current kept pulling me in a different direction and I couldn't think straight because of it. It was then that Sejeong grabbed ahold of me and swam to safety," Yook Sungjae said.
Sejeong is proving herself to be more competent than Sungjae, especially when survival skills are concerned. She revealed during filming of the episode that she didn't know how to swim but had taken time out of her busy schedule and learned how to swim for 'Law of the Jungle.' Sungjae didn't fail to acknowledge her competitive spirit when he said, "Her survival skills are strong and I think she's really impressive. I feel like I really understand now why she's called 'God-Sejeong.'"
In the previous episode, Sungjae had revealed how Sejeog's song 'Flower Road' helped him relax after a stressful day of filming for 'Goblin: The Lonely and Great God.' It was also learned that Sejeong had, during a pre-show interview, expressed desire to get closer to the 21-year old BTOB singer.
The next episode of 'Law of the Jungle' airs on December 31, on SBS at 10 p.m. KST.
