Google will soon reveal final name for Android N based on fan submissions

Android N will soon see the public release as Google's hunt for the elusive sweet name ends.

Google is all set to announce the highly-anticipated dessert name for the Android N firmware in the next few weeks. The company has officially closed all fan submissions for its #NameAndroidN campaign which was announced at its I/O conference.

Google had sought the help of the Android community to decide the sweet name for its upcoming iteration of mobile operating system. As there are very few naming options available for this particular letter 'N', the company seems to have taken the final call or probably shortlisted the official name for Android N.

Here is what Google tweeted recently on its Android page:

The first clue to the final name of Android N could be invariably linked to the arrival of new statue at the Google campus, reports Android Police in its recent post.

It is further speculated that Google will be creating a blog post and a new landing page in the name of the new OS once it is launched. If the past is any indication, we could expect the release of Android N along with its sweet or dessert name in the next few weeks.
