On September 9, GFRIEND were on their way to the 2017 Incheon K-Pop concert held at the Incheon Munhak Stadium in Incheon city, when they met with a car accident near the concert stadium. They were taken to a hospital for examinations and could not attend the concert. They only sustained minor injuries. Now, GFRIEND has assured fans they are alright.

As noted by website Soompi, GFRIEND made a post on September 10 on their official Twitter handle. First they asked the fans who they refer to as "buddies," whether they enjoyed the girl group's appearance on SNL Korea 9 on September 9, where each group member showed off her acting skills for the show's "3 Minute Girlfriend" skit segment.

Then they reassured their fans and wrote, "If Buddies smile, then it gives us strength, too. Have a good rest of the weekend, and see you Monday." GFRIEND also shared two photos where they posed with British tenor Paul Potts following their recording for 'Immortal Songs.'

On September 10, as noted by Soompi, Source Music posted a statement explaining that GFRIEND were on the Second Gyeongin Expressway at around 5.30 p.m. KST, when their car, while attempting to change lanes, hit the vehicle ahead of theirs. The front of their car was damaged. Diagnosis revealed the little finger on Yerin's right hand was sprained while the five other members including the manager, who was driving the car, only had minor bruises.

The source music statement also revealed that fault lay with the manager. "We first apologize to the others who experienced damages, as this accident was caused by the carelessness of the driver who is a manager in our company," it said. The apology was extended to the fans and read, "We also apologize to all the audience members at the INK Concert who were looking forward to GFRIEND's appearance, as well as for causing inconvenience due to the traffic disturbance in the area caused by the accident."

GFRIEND members are currently said to be taking rest at home. Their comeback is set for September 13 with their mini album repackage titled "Rainbow." The album will be released at 6 p.m. KST.
