Game of Throne season 6: Barack Obama gets early access to all the episodes

The makers did not even release the episode for reviewing purpose this time in order to avoid leakage.

US President Barack Obama has been lucky enough to get the first glimpse of Game of Thrones season 6. While the series will hold its world premiere on 24 April, the creator of the show revealed that Obama has already accessed season 6.

In an interview with Veronica Belmont, producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss stated that it was a proud moment for them when Obama showed his desire for the advance copies of the forthcoming show.

"I think for both of us -- finding out the President wanted advance copies of the episodes -- that was an 'Aha!' moment," Weiss said.

Benioff added: "When the commander in chief says, 'I want to see advanced episodes' -- what are ya gonna do?"

The producers affirmed that they had sent copies to Obama early just for the fact that "he's the leader of the free world."

Meanwhile, the creators also stated that they have not released advance episodes for reviewing purpose this time. Last year, almost four episodes of GOT 5 were leaked online before the show premiered.

Watch Game of Thrones season 6 premiere on HBO (StarHub TV Channel 601) from 25 April at 9am SGT.
