The world of smartphones is ever-changing and continuously evolving. The year 2017 is going to be a great for the industry with some really interesting models making their way to the centre stage. Here are some of the most anticipated and talked about smartphones and their expected launch dates: -- ranging from Samsung Galaxy S8 to iPhone 8.
Samsung Galaxy S8:
Ever since Samsung Galaxy S7 was wiped off from the market following the greatest disaster of the tech world, the whole world was asking only one question, 'now what?' Well now, make way for one of the biggest releases of this year â Samsung Galaxy S8. Although, many anticipated for this powerhouse flagship of Samsung to be launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) this month, but that's not happening. The South-Korean smartphone makers are probably going to unveil their latest product at Samsung's next "Unpacked" event on March 29, according to reports, while the sale would actually begin from April 21.
All said and done, Apple never did and never will cease to grab the market. Although, 2017 marks the 10-years anniversary of iPhones, Apple is all set to go the traditional way and they will probably launch the much awaited iPhone 8 in the first half of September, as has been the case for all the iPhone models. This time of the year sets the perfect start of the Christmas shopping season and seems like Apple is not going to leave that space for anything.
Last year LG surprised the audience by announcing the G5 model just one before the 2016 Barcelona MWC. Rumours have it that this year also LG will do something similar. This year's MWC will run from February 27 to March 2, so, February 26 might just be the D-Day for LG.
Google Pixel 2:
Being a relatively new smartphone line, Google Pixel has managed to build the right amount of excitement around their third launch. As the previous two Pixel models, Google Pixel and Pixel XL were both released in October 2016, it is expected that the company will release the new Pixel 2 roughly a year later, in or around October, 2017.
Xiaomi Mi6 will be the successor of the Xiaomi Mi 5, which was launched on March 31, 2016 and blew the market away. It is anticipated that this year Xiaomi's camp in MWC might burst the bubble.
HMD Global most certainly made an impact with the Nokia 6 last year, which was released at the CES. This year they are suspected to launch a new smartphone at the MWC and hopefully that new smartphone is going to be the much awaited Nokia P1, the model that is expected to be the successful comeback of Nokia. Nokia P1 will likely be launched on February 26 at a press conference in Barcelona.
