Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has ruled out any possibility of his side signing Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.

The England international has been in fine form for the north London club. He once again showcased his qualities when he scored a brace in Spurs' 4-1 victory over Liverpool at Wembley last weekend.

Kane has scored 13 goals from 12 appearances in all competitions for Mauricio Pochettino's side this season. His form form club and country has seen him being linked with a move to the Spanish capital club, while Manchester United are reportedly interested for a long time.

Real currently have the services of Karim Benzema as the main striker at Santiago Bernabeu. He has been the first choice striker for the last few seasons, which forced Alvaro Morata to leave the 12-time European champions for the second time in the summer.

Perez stressed that Benzema is still the key player for Real and ruled out any chances of signing Kane after jokingly admitting that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would demand €250m for the English striker.

"No, honestly [signing Kane has not passed through my head] He is a great player and is young. He has many years ahead to progress but we are delighted with [Karim] Benzema and with all of the team," Perez told Cadena Cope.

"No, [I didn't ask Levy for the price] because if ask him a price he would have told me that he is worth €250 million. I know him well. We became friends during the time it took us to sign Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.

"We signed them on deadline day and ended up making a good friendship. Whenever we win a Champions League he tells me the same thing: 'Congratulations for the Cup that you've won with my players'."
