EXO member Lay thinks kissing scenes are not necessary in dramas. The 25-year-old boy band member admitted he is not comfortable filming intimate scenes for series.

During an interview for the Chinese drama Operation Proposal, Lay, whose real name is Zhang Yixing, talked about kiss scenes. He said: "Maybe it's because I'm quite traditional and conservative, but having kiss scenes in dramas is a bit difficult for me to understand, especially because it's something you do in a relationship. I don't think it's good for both sides. While it might be a psychological problem for me, I think there are a few dramas that overuse kiss scenes for no reason. I think it's a bit irresponsible and I find it hard to understand."

He continued: "For this reason, I've never filmed a real kiss scene. If I did, it was usually just filmed to look like a real kiss scene."

In the series, Lay will be seen opposite actress Chen Duling. The show revolves around the story of a man who travels back in time to change his fate with his first love, who, at present, will be getting married to another man.

Meanwhile, Lay has been working hard lately and the stress had taken a toll on his health. In October, he collapsed while boarding a plane at Incheon airport. Following that incident, Lay asked his fans not to the blame his label for it. He said: "Fainting is my fault. Please do not blame my label. I want to emphasize once again that I am the one who decides the arrangements of my schedule. I'm also the type who doesn't like accepting failures, so I tend to only do the things that I am capable of doing. My label also respects my opinions."
