Egypt to extend nationwide night-time curfew by 15 days for countering Coronavirus

The coronavirus outbreak has spread to more than 170 countries around the world infecting over one million people

Egypt will be extending the nationwide night-time curfew by 15 days till April 23 for countering the spread of the coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stated on Wednesday.

Airports will also stayed closed, he said in a televised news conference, adding that the curfew would now start one hour later at 8pm local time each evening.

The coronavirus outbreak has infected over more than 1,400,000 people in the world claiming the lives of more than 82,000 people globally and has spread to more than 170 countries. The WHO has described the outbreak as a pandemic. Thecornavirus outbreak has affected the US the most and it is the epicentre at this moment. The virus originated from the city of Wuhan in the province of Hubei located in the East Asian country China.
