CNB arrests 81 drug offenders in 4-day operation in Singapore

The investigations into the drug activities of all the arrested persons are going on.

Singapore's Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) said on Friday that a total of 81 drug offenders were arrested in a four-day islandwide operation that took place from Monday until Friday morning.

In a press release, the agency said that the authorities have also seized about 69g of Ice, 56g of heroin, 59g of cannabis, 127 Erimin-5 tablets and 10 Ecstasy tablets. Singapore Police Force supported the operation that covered areas including Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Bukit Batok, Hougang, Marine Parade, Sembawang, Sengkang, Woodlands and Yio Chu Kang.

On Wednesday, two suspected Singaporean drug traffickers, including a woman, were arrested in the vicinity of Sembawang Drive. According to the authorities, a small amount of heroin and Ice were recovered from the 47-year-old man, and about 50g of heroin from the 49-year-old woman.

The authorities added that they have also seized a small amount of Ice and a bottle of methadone from their hideout after a search. The investigations into the drug activities of all the arrested persons are going on.
