Chinese billionaire's son buys 8 iPhone 7 smartphones for his dog

Coco's own verified Weibo account shows him happily posing with his new iPhone collection.

The son of China's richest man, Wang Jianlin, reportedly bought eight iPhone 7 handsets for his pet dog, Coco. Wang Sicong has presented his Alaskan malamute with the trendiest gadgets at the moment.

The news came to light after Sicong posted pictures of the phones on Coco's very own Weibo account, which is verified. In the image, the dog is seen happily posing with his new collection.

The iPhone 7 in China is priced between CNY 6,388 and CNY 7,988 which means Sicong spent upwards of CNY 51,071 for gifting eight iPhones to Coco.

This is not the first time that Sicong's dog has received such spotlight. Coco is a star pet dog among Chinese internet users and his Sina Weibo followers exceed 1.9 million. He is often pictured with various luxury accessories bought by his affectionate owner.

In May 2015, Sicong purchased two Apple Watch Editions for Coco which cost over 100,000 yuan (S$20,454). He also posted a picture showing the dog flaunting his new watch on his two front paws.

Some people were seen commenting on the latest photos saying: "We can't even hold a candle to a dog."
