Warriors FC face a trip to Bandar Seri Begawan on Saturday as they take on Brunei DPMM in their fifth S.League game of 2017 season.

The nine-time champions have begun the season well with three wins and a draw from their four games and are heading into today's tie on the back of a hard-fought 4-3 win over Garena Young Lions last week. The hosts, on the other hand, lost to Balestier Khalsa last Friday, which was also their third defeat this season.

Warriors, who struggled in the last two seasons, seemed to have found their combination right this year. Their marquee signing Joel Shibamba ended his goal drought against the Young Lions by scoring a brace to help his team come back from behind in the second half.

Jordan Webb has also been consistently performing and Singapore skipper Shahril Ishak's return has boosted their confidence. Coach Raziff Onn is reportedly happy with his team's performance so far and he thinks they can challenge for their 10th title this season.

On the other hand, Brunei, who finished third last season, are struggling at the eighth spot of the nine-team league. They have found it difficult to find the back of the net consistently despite having the likes of Billy Mehmet and Rafael Ramazotti in the team and heavy defeats to Tampines Rovers and Albirex Niigata early in the season have hampered the team morale.

A win against the high-flying Warriors can give them the necessary confidence, but the Wasps need to bring out their best to stand a chance.
