BigBang cancels its fan meet on parents' complaint about scheduled timings

Big Bang will perform at 2016 BIGBANG MADE V.I.P TOUR in Taipei and Kaohsiung

Boy group Big Bang has cancelled a part of its upcoming Taiwan fan meet following numerous pleas from the parents of young fans. The South Korean band reportedly invalidated its meet up scheduled for 2 PM on September 10 and has apparently refunded all the tickets.

As per exclusive news story by TV Report, the media outlet revealed that the parents complained about the group's fan meet schedule in lieu of upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival (Chuseok) in Taiwanese middle school and high school. According to the report, the parents of the fans opened about their concern on students skipping classes to attend the meet up scheduled in the afternoon. Apparently, the organizers paid heed to the pleas and cancelled a part of its meet up. However, the second leg schedule of Big Bang's September 10 fan meet at 7 pm remains unchanged.

Meanwhile, a source form the boy's label stated that aforesaid fan meet was not confirmed upon: "The extra Taipei performances were not confirmed. Since they were not confirmed it's not correct to say it was cancelled," YG Entertainment relayed.

BigBang, which consists of the renowned K-pop idols - G-Dragon, Taeyang, Seungri, T.O.P, and Daesung, is all set for 2016 BIGBANG MADE V.I.P TOUR in Taipei and Kaohsiung in coming days. The boys will reportedly perform at Multipurpose Gymnasium National Taiwan Sports University on 9 and 10 September, and a day later at Kaohsiung's Arena on 11 September.
