Asian restored classics 2017: All you need to know about mega film festival

Asian restored classics 2017 presents 12 renowned Asian classical films including Ring of Fury(1973), a Singaporean film based on martial arts which was banned for 32 years.

Asian restored classics (ARC) is a film festival program organised to revive the best of Asian films by the Asian Film Archive. The motive of this festival is to restore and celebrate the golden classic Asian masterpieces made by legendary filmmakers.

This year, ACR presents twelve extraordinary historic Asian films with a special focus on South-east Asia, with films from Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar and Philippines. In addition, the festival has also listed Ring of Fury (1973), Singapore's first martial arts film which was banned for 32 years, among the twelve Asian films.

The film festival started on Aug.31 and continues till Sept.10. The film festival is held at two venues in Singapore, the first one being Capitol Theatre and the second one is National Museum of Singapore, Gallery Theatre.

The prices of the festival tickets are S$13 for general public and S$11 discounted for student, senior citizen (age above 55 years) and National Service Full-timers (NSF)
