Overview

AFC Bournemouth enter this fixture after sufferinga 3-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal in the last league tie at the Emirates. Alexis Sanchez gave an early lead to the Gunners after a defensive mistake, which was cancelled by Callum Wilson's penalty in the 23rd minute.

However, goals from Theo Walcott and Sanchez was sufficient for the north London club to seal three points. Eddie Howe has seen his side win only one of Bournemouth's last five league fixtures and he will be hoping to beat the Reds on Sunday.

A victory over the Merseyside club at home will be a massive boost for Howe and his men for the busy festive schedule this month.

Liverpool defeated Leeds United 2-0 in the EFL Cup quarter-final clash, which helped them seal a berth in the last four of the competiiton. They will take on Southampton in the two-legged semi-final in January.

In the league, Jurgen Klopp saw his side seal a 2-0 win over Sunderland. The former Borussia Dortmund manager will be without Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge, who are sidelines with injuries.
