Singapore: Certis Cisco officer dies in accident at Tuas checkpoint

The authorities have arrested the 28-year-old male driver for causing death by a rash act.

A 33-year-old man died after being hit by a car at Tuas Checkpoint on Friday morning in Singapore. He has been identified as Norman Samri, who was working as a Certis Cisco officer.

The police were informed about an accident involving a car and an auxiliary police officer (APO) along Tuas Checkpoint viaduct at 2.30 am. The authorities have arrested the 28-year-old male driver for causing death by a rash act.

According to reports, the APO was conscious when he was taken to the National University Hospital but later he died due to his injuries. Certis Cisco posted a statement on its website expressing their grief and said it deeply regrets the passing of LCP (APF) Samri. "We will be providing assistance and support to the bereaved family," the statement said.
