Xperia X2 Premium features 4K display, super slow-mo video recording capability and more

Sony has officially unveiled its most advanced flagship smartphone, the Xperia X2 Premium. The new flagship Xperia phone packs some serious punch with display and camera technology along with other interesting features.

As the company claims, this premium model brings in a 4K HDR display, a technology that is widely used on Sony's high-end TVs. 4K HDR ready screens offer wider gamut of colours to produce superior colour contrast, deeper black levels and more image detail.

According to Silicon, along with the sharp traditional rectangular display of Xperia line, X2 Premium sports a 19-megapixel camera that is capable of capturing videos at up to 960 frames per second (fps), which will give a highly-detailed slow-motion video.

Sony Xperia X2 Premium features a 5.5 inch touch-screen display along with 4K (2160x3840 pixels) resolution with a brilliant glossy finish. It is powered by Qualcomm's latest processor Snapdragon 835 chipset. According to the company, this smartphone will provide a speed of up to 1GBPS, thanks to its integrated Snapdragon X16 LTE modem.

On the storage front, the phone comes with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage.

Along with these superb features X2 Premium also provides quick charging USB Type-C to power a 3230mAh battery, which is also incorporated with Sony's Smart Stamina system to accurately relay battery life based on the user's actual phone usage.This phone will run Google's Android 7.0 Nougat along with Sony's UI on top.

Other notable features include a fingerprint scanner integrated into the side-mounted power button, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and the model also has a water and dust resistant feature rated up to IP68 standard.

The phone will officially be rolling out in May this year, but the price has not been revealed by the company yet.
