A new Xiaomi smartphone has been spotted on TENAA, the Chinese certification site, and tech buffs believe that this gadget is nothing other than the highly anticipated Redmi Note 5. If the listing on this site can be believed, Redmi Note 5 will be a bezel-less phone, and contrary to the reports published earlier, it will not feature a dual lens camera. As the new device has cleared the TENAA certification, it may be launched any moment now.

Impeccable features expected

The images on the TENAA site clearly indicate that the Redmi Note 5 will be different from its predecessor Note 4 when it comes to looks. This bezel-less phone will sport a display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and breaking the expectations, it will have single lens camera. Like Redmi Note 4, the back of the phone is made up of metal, which is expected to add to the durability of the gadget. The image also clearly exposes a fingerprint scanner on the backside.

Even though this new Redmi Note 5 will be priced a bit higher than Redmi Note 4, it will be worth the money, considering the high-end specifications it offers. According to reports, this new smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 636 processor, the first phone to use this system. Boosted with an octa-core CPU, this phone will be a perfect device for users who love to use their device without any lag or hang.

The smartphone will feature a 16MP rear camera with LED flash, while the front camera will be that of 5MP. Credible sources claim that this smartphone will come with three different variants: the base model will feature 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the mid-segment has 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. The high-end model comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage.

To ensure long battery backup, the phone is expected to come with a 4000mAh battery.

Xiaomi aiming budget-oriented people

Earlier, we have reported that the sale of Xiaomi smartphones in Singapore has drastically increased in the last two years. The major reason behind this development is nothing but the unquestionable price factor. The company is providing high-end smartphones at an affordable rate to customers, while smartphones with the same configuration from Samsung and Apple come at a whopping price which is unaffordable for common men.

The new Redmi Note 5 targets customers in countries like Singapore and India, where people give preference to budget rather than owning global brand names.
