The rebranding starts on Saturday with the update to its Insiders in the Release Preview ring for Windows 10. Windows Store also has a new logo and icon in the Taskbar and Start menu which is expected to complement Microsoft Store.

Rumours on Microsoft's plans to scrap Windows Store first broke out back in 2016. According to earlier reports, the cloud software company will go beyond just apps, games and digital contents once Microsoft Store is in full form, offering more products made by the company and its partners just like the online Microsoft Store which currently offers hardware and software products.
