Windows Fall Creators Update: Here are key changes for Build 16273

Build 16273 of Windows Fall Creators Update brings mostly fixes to a laundry list of issues.

Microsoft on Wednesday has finally released the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16273 to Windows Insiders in the Skip Ahead and Fast ring. The latest build before the Windows Fall Creators Update arrives soon brings mostly fixes to a laundry list of issues.

With Build 16273, the cloud software giant aims to zero in on stabilisation. In a blog post, Microsoft's head engineer at Windows and Devices Group Dona Sarkar writes, "We are now at the point of the development cycle for the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update where our focus is now on stabilization for release to the world".

Here are the key changes and fixes that come with Build 16273:

Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge gets a handful of changes in features. On Find on Page, F3 can now be used to view next result and Shift + F3 for the previous result. Also, the scrollbars on secondary monitors with different DPI from the primary are set on standard size.

The browser gets tonnes of fixes. Certain websites viewed in InPrivate mode now loads correctly. Copying bitmap images from the browser is now functional. Pasting Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters into the browser no longer renders questions marks but the actual texts themselves.

Crashes when drag and dropping favourites are also solved. Some widgets breaking on some sites are fixed. Putting status updates on Facebook.com no longer deletes itself while writing it. More Microsoft Edge issues have been patched.

Bahnschrift font

Microsoft's first OpenType Variable Font Bahnschrift arrives for the first time. Windows users are no longer constricted to Light, Regular and Bold type of font weights as Bahnschrift gives users wide ranging options for font styles.

Emoji notifications with My People

Microsoft is calling Windows Insiders to join the test for this new feature. Users can add the new Emoji Bot to their taskbar for an easy access to ask for some emoji.

View Mixed Reality

Also, View Mixed Reality is now available to Windows Insiders through Skip Ahead. This feature allows you to transport your 3D content from Remix3D.com into your desktop.

The View 3D app with View Mixed Reality enabled lets you carry your work from Paint 3D. This is a huge help for those a more refined result of your content.

Meanwhile, tonnes of general changes and improvements and fixes for input methods and Windows Shell are also available Windows Fall Creators Update Build 16273.
