Wanna One to make formal debut in August

Newly formed boy band Wanna One will be officially making their debut as a group next month. The upcoming idol group, composed of the 11 winners of the Korean survival TV show "Produce 101," will be debuting on August 7, according to Korean media.

On the date, they will release their first album and hold the "Wanna One Premier Show-Con," that will seen them perform songs in the event that is both an album showcase and a concert. It will be held at the Gocheok Sky Dome, which has a capacity of 30,000 people.

Wanna One is composed of Kang Daniel, Park Ji Hoon, Lee Dae Hwi, Kim Jae Hwan, Ong Sung Woo, Park Woo Jin, Lai Guan Lin, Yoon Ji Sung, Hwang Min Hyun, Bae Jin Young and Ha Sung Woon.

Kang Daniel, a trainee of MMO Entertainment, is the group's center after he won first place during the live voting on the contest finale. Since winning on the final episode of the TV show on June 16, Wanna One have been busy preparing for their debut. Last July 1 and 2, the 11 winners joined 24 other contestants in a concert held at the Olympic Hall in Seoul.

Wanna One's popularity has been increasing. They official fan cafe has 130,000 members while their Twitter account has 328,000 followers. They had their first magazine pictorial for 1st Look, which showed their mature image.

In addition, they have been signed up for product endorsements. They are the new endorsers of cosmetics brand Innisfree's clay mask and Hite beer.

Wanna One also announced that they have chosen Yoon Ji Sung as their temporary leader for the meantime until a permanent leader is selected. He is the oldest member of the group and has gained fans in the TV program for his happy and caring image.
