On Tuesday, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said slavery reparations arent a good idea because slavery ended 150 years ago and we elected an African American president. Author Ta-Nehisi Coates gave an opening statement to the Senate committee on slavery reparations and cited that McConnell was alive during the campaign of terror against black Americans.
