Girl group TWICE is in Japan for their official debut tour and they are rocking it. On June 28, the girls made their Japanese debut with #TWICE—a mix of their hit songs. Soon after the launch, the album was 'placed second on Oricon Daily Album Chart (The Japanese equivalent to the Billboard charts in the US). Till yesterday, the girls have sold a total of 46,871 copies. On July 2, the girls will perform their debut showcase 'Touchdown In Japan' at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

In addition, the girls received a special honour. The title of their hit album TT was lightened up on the Tokyo Towers yesterday. It will remain until 7 pm today. While TT also refers to Tokyo Towers, TWICE visited the venue to watch the countdown of their song name appearing at the landmark site. TWICE also updated the picture on their social sites, which immediately went viral. The girls also thanked the organisers for the surprise.

However, it looks like the girl group has already marked a place for themselves in Japan. According to a survey conducted among female students in Japan, TWICE is already popular in the country with almost 80 percent of the students already being aware of the group. They stated that they liked the group because of its Japanese members, Momo, Sana, and Mina.

The group is composed of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. Today, with an amazing fan base across the globe, TWICE is already compared to two legendary Kpop Girl Bands, 2NE1 and Girls Generation. They are also one of the few Kpop bands to top the Billiboard charts for more than 4 weeks. After their debut in 2015, the road to success was never a catwalk for TWICE but they made sure to trounce all the hurdles with hard work and excellence.
