tvN's 'Goblin' beats 'Descendants of the Sun' In Terms of Buzzworthy TV drama rankings

On December 12, tvN's "Goblin" was revealed to be first place in terms of buzzworthy TV drama rankings.

The tvN fantasy series 'Goblin' is breaking records continuously and is surpassing the other top list TV dramas which include Song Joong Ki's 'Descendants of the Sun'. Recently, the new tvN series of Gong Yoo, during its debut week itself topped the list of buzzworthy TV dramas and that too with an amazing score.

As reported by Korea Herald, The tvN series "Goblin," which is also known as "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God," was released on December. 2 Friday, and it has already become one of the most discussed TV series online. In its debut week it scored around 12,500 points on a buzzworthy TV drama chart, according to Good Data Corporation.

The tvN series even bested the records previously posted by "Descendants of the Sun". The score KBS's hit series reached during its fifth broadcast, the same score is attained by the Gong's series on its first week. During the second week of "Goblin", it scored even higher, according to the same report.

According to Soompi, "On December 12, tvN's "Goblin" was revealed to be first place in terms of buzzworthy TV drama rankings. The drama recorded a score of 12, 500 points during its first week of broadcast, thus beating out KBS 2TV's "Descendants of the Sun," which reached the same score after five weeks of being broadcast. For the second week of its broadcast, the score for "Goblin" was double the amount that "Descendants of the Sun" had achieved."

According to Daumsoft's data,as cited by Yonhap News, during the debut week of the fantasy series, "Goblin" was one of the most discussed TV dramas on the online platforms. It was mentioned over 21,000 times and 40,737 times on the social media platforms on Dec. 2 and Dec. 3, respectively.

According to Yibada, the popular tvN drama, during its premiere day scored 101.51 points on Daumsoft's TV popularity index. After the show was released, the score rose to 120.84 points.
