Thai police arrested a 42-year-old Laotian man, who is dubbed to be the 'Asean drug lord' along with three Thai nationals on Thursday in a sting operation at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport.

According to Bernama, Thai authorities had been investigating for the past five years into an elaborate drug network spanning the Asean region, including Singapore and Malaysia. The three other people were believed to be his accomplices.

The police have also seized 14 land plots, 14 luxury cars, gold accessories and cash money adding up to 100 million Thai Baht (S$40 million).
