Super Junior's Kangin slapped with $6,050 USD fine over DUI case

S.M. Entertainment announced Kangin's temporary suspension over entertainment related activities.

Super Junior's Kangin has been penalized with a huge fine for his recent DUI case. The singer was reportedly under police investigation for driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a car accident.

Apparently, the 31-year-old , who was driving his Mercedes Benz, collided into a street lamp at Gangnam street and fled right way after the incident. As per the Allkpop report, Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office has slapped a fine of 7,000,000 KRW (approximately $6,050 USD) on the Don't Cry singer in lieu of the accident caused on 24 May.

Kangin was found guilty after his blood alcohol test, which was recorded 0.157%, found out to be quite higher than the desired level. Meanwhile, S.M. Entertainment announced Kangin's temporary suspension over entertainment related activities after the news of his DUI charges broke on the internet.

The agency stated that the singer will take time to reflect, resulting in stopping all entertainment-related activities. The company also apologized for Kangin's act and apologized for the same.

This not the first time that Kangin has been pressed with the drink and drive charges. In 2009, the singer turned actor was slapped a fine of $8000 USD for DUI and hit and run case, when he crashed into a parked taxi.
